Drawboard Projects

+
Microsoft Teams
Add Projects as a Teams tab to review and mark up drawings live in your channel’s workspace.

Overview

Microsoft Teams is where many organizations chat, meet, and coordinate work across projects and departments. Teams channels keep conversations organized, while tabs surface the tools and files people use every day, helping groups stay aligned without juggling extra windows.

With the Drawboard Projects integration, you can add Projects as a tab in any Teams channel to open, review, and mark up PDFs together in real time. Pin a specific Projects view—Drawings, Documents, Issues, or even a single file—so each channel jumps straight to what matters. Keep discussion in Teams while feedback and decisions live on the drawing in Projects.

Features + Benefits

Review where you chat:

Add Projects as a Teams tab so channels can open, mark up, and approve files without switching apps.

Live markups & comments:

Everyone sees ink and comments sync in real time to keep decisions moving.

Pin the right view:

Choose Drawings, Documents, Issues, or a specific file as the default tab view for each channel.

How to connect Microsoft Teams

Getting connected takes a minute; you do it right from within Teams.

  1. Open the Teams channel you want, click the + tab, and search for Drawboard Projects.

  2. Select Drawboard Projects, then choose Continue.

  3. Log in to your Projects account (or create a trial if you’re new).

  4. Navigate to the Projects screen you want as the default, check Select Page, and click Save.

If the app doesn’t appear, ask your IT admin to enable it in your tenant’s app permissions. Once added, your channel can launch straight into Projects for every review.

Note: As of February 16, 2025, this integration supports Classic Teams. Support for New Teams is under evaluation.

Ways to use Drawboard Projects and Microsoft Teams

Drawboard Projects and Microsoft Teams combine to make your review cycles faster, clearer, and easier to run where work already happens.

  • Channel-based reviews: Pin the Drawings list as a tab in a project channel to run weekly review sessions and capture feedback in context.

  • Issue standups: Set the tab to Issues and resolve blockers live during daily huddles, linking comments to the right sheet.

  • Focused document threads: Tab to a single drawing or document for a bid, RFI, or change, and keep chat, markups, and decisions together.

Integrate Microsoft Teams with Projects today to keep every review organized and right where your team works.
