Google Drive
Open and edit Drive files in Drawboard PDF with changes syncing back to Google Workspace automatically.

Google Drive is the shared workspace for many teams and students, keeping files organized and accessible across devices. It’s often where drafts, handbacks, and final PDFs live.

With Drawboard PDF, you can open files directly from Drive, mark them up with pen-first tools, and sync changes back to the same file so everyone stays aligned. Collaboration happens in real time and updates are reflected in Drive without extra downloads.

How to connect Google Drive

Understanding your syncing options

Drawboard PDF gives you flexible control over how your Drive files are synchronized:

  • Manual Sync: Click Sync Document now to save changes instantly to Drive and make them available on all devices.

  • Adjust sync frequency: Set how often changes save for a specific document, or make that setting the default for all Drive files under App Settings → Document Sync Settings.

  • Turn Auto-Sync Off: Temporarily stop automatic saving, like when working offline. You can then manually or automatically resume syncing when ready.

These controls ensure you can match syncing behavior to your workflow.

Ways to use Drawboard PDF and Google Drive

Drawboard PDF and Google Drive combine to make everyday document reviews simple and fast.
