Overview

Microsoft SharePoint is a document management and collaboration platform that helps organizations store, organize, and control access to project files across teams. AEC teams use SharePoint as a central source for drawings, specifications, reports, and project documentation.

The SharePoint integration allows you to bring those files directly into Drawboard Projects for review, markup, and coordination. Instead of downloading documents manually, you can browse your SharePoint libraries during upload and add the files you need to your project workspace.

How to connect SharePoint

You can add SharePoint files from the Projects upload flow.

Open a project, then go to Drawings or Documents.
Select Upload & Choose SharePoint from the upload options.
Sign in to your Microsoft account if prompted.
Browse to the SharePoint site, folder, or document library you want to use.
Select the files you want to add to Projects. For Drawings, files must be PDFs.
Complete the upload flow and publish the files to your project.

You can return to the same upload flow whenever you need to bring more SharePoint files into Projects.

Ways to use Drawboard Projects and SharePoint

SharePoint keeps project files organized. Drawboard Projects gives teams a live space to review them together.

Controlled drawing intake: Store issued PDFs in SharePoint, then bring the right set into Projects for markup and coordination.
Internal review rounds: Add files from a SharePoint project library so team members can comment, assign issues, and resolve feedback on the drawing.
Project record keeping: Export reviewed files from Projects and save the final marked-up PDFs back to SharePoint when the review is complete.
